Background: Adrienne Mett was born to two doting parents, but when she was very, very young, her mother got sick and died. It was then just her and her father, who was pretty certain that he was dying as well and wanted Andy to have a much better life. He was being hunted, he was sick, and so he handed her over to Charles Xavier, who helped to mold her into the mutant that she is today (Andy adapts to everything...everything).

As she got older, Andy realized that there was nothing that she wanted more than to help other young mutants who needed help. She was trusted by Charles enough to even bring young mutants in and she finds a lot of happiness in her job as a professor...but also was more than happy to be brought into S.H.I.E.L.D. to help with the Avengers and all of S.H.I.E.L.D.s other problems.
