Background: When Logan was very young, he found that he had bone claws that came out of his hands--it was very painful and it terrified his family. He always housed a regenerative gene and after a mishap of accidentally killing his father in a fit of rage, Logan ran off and was eventually picked up by the Mutant X program. There he was given an adamantium skeleton and soon found himself rid of William Stryker.
Once he had gotten his life a bit more on track, he became part of the X-Men (Xavier's Men) and devoted his life to protecting other mutants. He became a professor and took great pride in his job, helping other mutants and still keeping himself at a distance because of all of the blood and betrayal on his conscience from his past. Eventually, Logan became part of the Avengers and continued to do good day by day.
